Extremely tolderant to widely varyi salinities and temperatures. Bubbles of oxygen (from photosynthesis) often apparent in the tubular fronds. Common through Britain and Ireland, and seemily world-wide. lower mid-littoral
Usesd in cooki, particularly with hens' eggs.
